This species is not a local resident of this area. It is a visitor from up North looking for a warmer climate during cold winter. They will fly down to Southeast Asean countries down to Malaysia and Indonesia and will return to the North when temperature is more favorable. Its size is quite small and prefers dense forest. I saw it coming out from the bushes in the same area where i found the Pheasants.

Yesterday i went to the Berjaya Hill in Pahang after so many years i did not do any birding there. I was not sure whether i should go or not since it is a fasting month and the weather has been blistering hot for the last couple of weeks throughout the Penisular of Malaysia. But my desire to do some birding got the best of me. It was a one hour long drive and a steep drive up to the Japanese Village, but it was worth it. I was awarded with another species which is the Malayan Peacock-Pheasant posted here for your viewing. I started birding at 10.00a.m and called it quit after the day got very hot at 3.00p.m.
