LutfialiBirding: Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; I first bought my own camera in 1982 with a Minolta XGM. when I picked up this photography passion again in late 90s, the gear that I bought were low end of various brands like Casio, Pentax, Olympus and Panasonic-Lumix for travel and family photos. Only when I bought my first Canon DSLR 60D my passion in photography deepened. I started to do macro photography. Then my photography started to shift to birds and wildlife, as it was more challenging and brought me closer to nature, which gave me calmness and peace. Since Canon 60D, I have added an 80D, 5D3 and recently 7D2 to my collection. I am mainly a Canon shooter, however, I also use Tamron and Sigma for my lenses. To me gear are just tools for me to capture images and moments of my subjects, to share with the viewers so they can appreciate the beauty of birds, animals, insects or plants. When you appreciate something you would want to preserve their existence on this planet, and their habitat. I hope with my photography shared with others across the globe, people will start to be more concerned with the preservation of birds, wildlife, and their habitats before it is too late.
